O Voo do Corvo (The Raven's Flight) is a published noir western comic created with high-contrast black and white illustration. The story follows a soldier through a landscape where violence is quiet and vengeance moves slowly, like a crow circling before it descends.
The visual language of the comic is built on deep blacks, sharp silhouettes, and tight close-ups that force the reader into the discomfort of the characters' tension. Influenced by the aesthetics of classic western cinema and Japanese ink illustration, the artwork treats shadow as a narrative tool , not just a visual choice, but a way of communicating what the characters refuse to say aloud.
The sequential storytelling moves between wide atmospheric establishing shots and extreme close-ups of faces and hands , the two zones where truth lives in a noir story. Lettering and dialogue are in Brazilian Portuguese.
The full comic is available to read online in portuguese, and soon will be avaiable in english.
